A bucket of flowers outside a business in downtown Scranton. I came over for some lurid pink-colored thing, and stayed for the subtle spotting on the iris.
Of course, the flower doesn’t look like this in real life. I darkened the yellows substantially to increase the sense of texture in the petals. Then I got out me eyedropper and sampled the oranges, which I saturated just enough to bring the spots out and then darkened them, too. Definition up, brilliance up. Compensation by brightening the whole thing like half a stop’s worth. Sharpened, cropped, and added a weak vignette at the end.
