The ‘ruptured duck’ veteran’s marker adjacent to James McCormick’s (1914-2005) monument (figure 1) in the upper parcel of St. Mary’s Cemetery in Dickson City indicates that he served in World War II. A U.S. issued metal grave plaque states that his branch was the Marine Corps.

The latter, however, is obvious from the cement figure of a marine in dress blues offering a salute over his grave.

That is all. Dismissed.
